Recently, I found myself needing to measure several gaps beneath our room doors. Unfortunately, using a caliper proved impractical because its head obstructed the measurements. Additionally, a folding ruler lacked the necessary precision for this task. This challenge led me to consider a more effective solution. Having previously crafted a radius gauge, I realized the potential in creating a height gauge tailored for such measurements. I developed two distinct versions for this purpose: The first design features a stepped configuration, offering precise measurements at set intervals (1-15mm). The second design is a continuous wedge, meticulously marked with centimeter and half-centimeter increments for more flexible and detailed measuring (2-15mm).Naturally, this tool isn't universally applicable; it's particularly less effective for measuring wider gaps.
