I like the models I've seen of clamps to hold headsets. I have two problems with this in my situation. First my desk has a 31mm lip where the entire depth bends down at about a 30 degree angle. Second I need a holder for my HEiL handswitch. This is a device I use to key up my radio so I can speak into the microphone and transmit the signal. I've been placing it on the desk, but the weight of the cable makes it slide down. My favorite headset clamp is <https://makerworld.com/en/models/27711#profileId-38764>. I used that as inspiration but I made mine from scratch. For those interested, I am a novice at CAD and head to figure out on my own how to make threads for the bolt and the bolt hole. I found a reference to McMaster-Carr in a forum that mentioned you can download a STEP file from their website. So I downloaded a ¾" 10 threaded rod file for a 3" rod. I imported that into Shapr3D.
