Helping hand for electronics soldering

This is the base for a helping hand. Holes accomodate 12 gauge electrical wires on which I installed aligator clips. The wires are secured to the base plate using JB Weld epoxy glue.

This works pretty well although I may have gone overboard with stiff 12 gauge wires instead of 14 gauge. I can rework this if there is any interest.
