Not a particularly practical nor pragmatic idea in the end - but here's a fastener that allows you to join hex tiles for your games so that the hexes would kind of lock-in with each other.
# Not Really A Smart Idea…
The main reason I say it might not be the most pragmatic idea would be that:
1. You'll need to print quite a lot of these fasteners to give sufficient coverage for games like Catan
2. It'd probably prolong set up time.
Might still be useful in certain use cases (say, a game w/ just 7 hexes, or… I dunno, artistic purposes?) - or there could be some other uses for this design. Lemme know if you have ideas :).
# Design Goals
1. Mainly as a portable means to give structure to hex-based tile games (vs having big hex frames which may be unwieldy)
2. Minimize harm to tiles - no part of the print will bite into the cardstock, relies on snug sandwich fitting to hold everything in place
Source FreeCAD file included (requires version 0.17), open the "var" spreadsh
