Taking inspiration from other 3D Printed print-in-place fabric / chainmail, I thought to put my own spin on it and created this.
The two primary components interlock together in a similar manner to other PIP chainmail designs to create a snowflake like pattern. I have also created provision for hexagonal plates to be pressed into the base pattern to give an overlapping chainmail effect.
UPDATE 25/05/23
My apologies for the overly long delay in updating this project, life got in the way.
I have re-visited most of the files, updated to be more user and printer friendly, re-jigged the patterns for printing swatches which I have provided 'broken' pieces for linking together. It's not exactly ideal yet and I would like to make larger swatch patterns with broken links only at the edges or alternative connection pieces/method to make the process simpler and stronger in the future, in addition to 'trim' pieces to allow for cleaner edges.
With any luck, the next update won't take as long
