High pressure coffee tamper

This model is for everyone, who wants to improve the consistent quality of his portafilter machine coffee. The print consists of two parts: The base and the tamper.The base is placed on the filter holder with a short rotation and is then locked in. I used and designed the model for a 54 mm filter holder of the company Sage/Breville. It also works with the original filter holder as well as with a third party one. After you place the base on the filter holder you can then use needles to get rid of the air pockets in the ground coffee. Here the base works as a funnel, so you don't make a mess with the coffee powder. Next you use the tamper and place it inside of the base. Due to the fine pitch of the thread and the lever, it will be easy to highly compress the coffee powder. Because the tamper and the base have a relatively tight fit, the surface of the coffeepowder will be even everytime you use the tamper and therefore improve your coffee quality.
