With inspiration from /u/opsecpanda I built another, better version:
upgraded to Nyquist rev3 PCBs from keeb.io
Kailh Speed Coppers /lubed
new HIGH PROFILE 3D printed case (a first for the Nyquist, I believe)
This case is based on an original design by /u/opsecpanda. We ran into each other in the sub and started talking about Nyquist and 3D printed cases.
They inspired me to learn a little bit of 3D modeling to make some changes to the case that I had wanted like chamfered corners and a high-profile plate design.
I wanted to make a board unlike any of seem before, and I love the design of the Nyquist, but I don't like exposed switches, and it seems with many handwired / split boards I come across, all those exposed switches take away from the look.
The best, IMHO, case I'd seen available was on thingiverse, by opsecpanda...but again, exposed switch design. So I learned how to 3D model, enough to rework the design into something I not only like, but love!
