High-temperature sample heater for single molecule microscopy

Sample heater for high-temperature optical microscopy experiments. Clamped inside the microscope sample holder, the heating assembly stably positions the temperature-controlled sample over the objective. PID-controlled surface heating pads heat the aluminum holder for the sample slide, as well as the thermally conducting aluminum holder for the optical window. The mounting adapter thermally insulates the heating assembly from the microscope body while a heating collar for the objective minimizes the thermal gradient over the sample. This heater provides homogenous heating of the sample while maintaining optical transparency, minimizing the background signal.
