I made these designs to convert the LEO Z axis to a linear rail system.
Parts needed:
-Linear Rail & Block, 350mm, MGN12H (2 sets)
-M3 x 8 Screws (24, 28 if using optional rail caps)
-M3 T-Nuts (8, 12 if using optional rails caps)
-Print of 'Linear Rail Bracket L' (1)
-Print of 'Linear Rail Bracket R' (1)
-Print of 'Linear Rail Spacer' (2)
-Print of 'Linear Rail Shim' (1)
-Print of 'Linear Rail Alignment Tool' (3)
-Print of 'Linear Rail Top Cap' (2, optional)
-Print of 'Linear Rail Bottom Cap' (2, optional)
The photos included show where all the parts go.
Assembly notes:
-I used 4 screws in each rail evenly spaced
-The X gantry will need to be removed to install the spacers
-Align and tighten the 4 screws going into the sides of the brackets before tightening the 4 that hold the bracket to the block. This will require the X stepper to be removed.
-When installing the rail I use 3 alignment tools, 1 on each end and one in the middle. The tool has a h
