There are a couple of different types of blades. The X-acto standard and the collet type. Although they both may fit an X-acto handle, this one is specific to the latter (X-acto threaded insert coming soon). You will need a small M3 screw. I opted for screw mount for strength and durability over a small 3D printed pin. The lower part of the handle screws in tightening the top against the flanged insert top. It turns out to be a fairly large handle, perfect for this old man with not so nimble fingers. Like a carving or paring knife, the project was specific to hooked blades drawn toward the holder to clean edges and various bits of 3D printing flack.
