The printer does not always make holes that match the exact dimensions of the design. This tool allows you to test your printer's ability to make dimensional holes both horizontally and vertically. This is helpful when designing holes to catch the threads on self tapping screws or to find the diameter needed for a screw or bolt to pass through unobstructed. Each row contains 11 holes. The row marked 1-2 has holes that are 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8. 1.9, and 2.0mm. The other rows are laid out in similar fashion, starting with 2.0, and 3.0mm. Print one with horizontal holes and one with vertical holes as the printer will interpret these differently. I have also found that black filament sags during printing and effects the shape of holes. If you are designing anything with screws or nuts and bolts this tool will help you find the right sized hole the first time.
