Hollow Trachea

Hollow anatomical model of a bronchial tree down to secondary bronchi segmented from de-identified patient DICOM data. Can be 3D printed for use as a bronchoscopy trainer or other medical education purposes.

We have had most success printing this in flexible resin on the Formlabs Form 2 SLA printer, but would be interested in the outcome on other machines.

Printing in ABS on an FDM printer also produces a reasonable end product but supports in the smaller bronchi may limit its use. We have also created this model using Ninjaflex and Filaflex but stranding of the flexible filament in the lumen of the model also limits its use.

Suggested scaling:
- 100% for adult female
- 120% for adult male
