As usual, when you buy cheap things, you can not expect them to last forever...
I bought a common trash bin to be placed in the kitchen, but in few weeks the release button has been destroyed...
For not to go buy another one, I try to get a solution by drawing a replacement button with some improvements.
The new release button use two recycled magnets as "spring" for rearm!
The magnets are recovered by some cupboard magnets I found at home.
The extra material needed is a steel bar of 5mm diameter and 100 mm lenght.
Just used hot glue to fix the new button in position.
This bin have the release button lenght of around 100mm (some others are smaller, so the drawings must be modified in case you need...)
Hope you enjoy it!
