A close replica of the Tamiya Hotshot chassis. It does not feature a cutout to put the on/off switch nor does it have the cutout for the metal cover plate as featured on the Hotshot II or re-releases. The battery bracket posts are only for the 7.2NiMH style batteries and there is no antenna holder.
The electronics box attached ok to the chassis but you do need to drill out the holes so that the bolts or screws ( original vs rere ) fall through the holes smoothly. If you do not do that, the screws start screwing into the chassis holes and they will stop before the box sits snugly to the chassis. This is a general principle when mating two structures but it's especially important here.
In the future I may design a driver torso into it, just like the original but I could not find a suitable CAD model for it yet.
