HP 2000 System Hard Drive

The HP 2000 System was an early 1970s minicomputer/time share computer system. The system allowed for up to 32 simultaneous terminal connections. This print is an external hard drive cabinet that was connected to an HP 2000 series I used in the late 70s. See my other prints for some other components of this system including the HP 2000 System minicomputer and tape drive, and the Decwriter II terminal. This print includes the cabinet with drive platters and read/write head, along with a translucent lid. The lid print is translucent PETG with PLA handle. I didn't design an operable hinge, so I've connected mine with a small tape connector on the back as the “hinge”. My prints are at 30% scale, so you'll find there's a lot more detail available in this model than my pictures reveal.
