This mod provides cooling for the headset, which resolves teh black screens issue for some users.
It facilitates attachment of a 50mm fan to the HP Reverb G2 VR headset.
Everything is reversible, so if it doesn't resolve your overheating issue, then you can revert back to the previous state.
You'll need to print:
1 x face plate
4 x screw spacers
Other items
1 x 50mm 12v or 5 v fan
1 x suitable battery power for the fan
8 x M3 bolts
4 x M3 nuts
The spacers attach to the original screws that hold the original front plate on. The new front plate is then screwed into these with 4 x M3 bolts.
It's a bit fiddly with one of the screws mounting the fan, but everything else is a doddle.
Youtube has a few teardowns for instructions on getting the original front plate off.
Just make sure the nuts are on tight, and won't come loose... you don't want them floating about inside your HMD.
I've added the battery holder I use with 2x 16850 batteries, but several people h
