This a flying model of retro looking spaceship - designed for F thru small H motors. It is completely 3D printed except for recovery and avionics.
It is based on a delightful design of a retro spacer with 24mm motor mount - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4262096
I made the following substantial changes:
+ integrated fins directly to the body for greater stability
+ integrated 1010 rail button mounts with standoffs to clear the nosecone
+ lengthened the body for improved stability with larger motors
+ increased motor mount size to 29mm
+ an integrated screw-on motor retainer eliminating a third party accessory
+ an integrate payload bay with screw-on access
+ optional screw on avionics mount for nosecone primarily designed to mount an Adafruit Feather to control a small red nose-mounted laser and NeoPixel strings to use this rocket as a night rocket
This rocket, printed in Dremel Eco-ABS and PETG (for the translucent night rocket nose cone) weights about 490g wit
