For those who don't want to drill holes in everyone's walls or carry around tripods.
Use as much surface area as you can with the command strips, and they hold quite well. The existing hardware snaps in and out easy enough, but won't fall out. I've had mine mounted to my walls for weeks without them falling.
This is the second tested style of an adapter I've made for using command strips with the HTC Vive's base stations. This style is much better.
