Electrolysis cell for 2H2O->2H2+2O conversion.
I use 2 plastic tumblers with lids made for straws that I found at Dollar General for $2. I reinforced the bottom of the tumblers with epoxy and then drilled two holes into the bottom of each cup for 1/8 NPT to 1/4 OD quick connect fittings. The hole where the straw should go in the lid also receives a 1/8 NPT to 1/4 OD quick connect for the outlet gas to be scavenged.
The two end plates have holes on the flat surface for quick connect bungs. The top of each center gas plate and one end plate have holes for bungs as well. These holes need to be tapped with a 1/8 NPT thread. The gasket stencil is for a neoprene gasket. I cut mine out of a 2mm sheet of neoprene and spaced the placement nipple on each resin plate accordingly. The electrode gasket is for the graphite material. I used a 1mm thick sheet of graphite.
I use a 1/4" hole punch and hobby knife to prepare the gaskets. I printed the stencils on my FDM printer and the plates o
