The Hypergate is a marvel of cosmic engineering. At its core, hypergates are colossal generators for space-folding, creating a type of black hole that connects various points in space by folding it. Even with the invention of sub-light ship drives, the vast distances within and between galaxies would be insurmountable in a reasonable time frame. Technologies like cryostasis are considered, but hypergates provide a more efficient solution. Typically, hypergates come in three different sizes, with the largest having a diameter of 4 kilometers, capable of transporting massive ships like the ETS Atlanta or ETS Survivor III/IV class. Transports usually occur from gate to gate, considering the size compatibility. This model captures the essence of these interstellar gateways, offering a glimpse into the future of space travel.
