This is a mosquito trap that uses a standard 120mm computer fan to catch mosquitos that fly by. It overpowers mosquitos flying strength and sucks them in the box where they can't escape as long as the fan is on. You can either build a version that uses a power adapter or a version that runs on batteries.

By default, there are no UV lights or other baits but you can add one if you wish to do so. In the Nordic countries, there are plenty of mosquitos during the summer so the only bait you need is yourself, just place the box near you. In Asian countries, there are far fewer mosquitos but they spread diseases so adding bait is far more important.

Mosquitos are attracted to co2, sweat, prefer dark non-reflective colors, alcohol, and heat. If you add a led the recommended wavelength should be something around 400nm.
