I've been using my Geeetech i3 (8mm Plastic) for quite a while now. It is a very nice printer especially with just a few upgrades. The wobble remover was the main one but this one (Top bearing) further helps with noise and quality. I have provided parts for the 8mm and 5.5 mm (W variant) that Geeetech offers and one other variant that I upgraded as well (I don't know what it is - sorry) I've built a few of these i3s now and their top bracket can be different so these may not fit yours. Print a layer and compare it to your to see if any of these work for you.
Problems with old bracket?:
- The lead screw used to make a horrible screeching noise as it turned (so I made the hole bigger) then it rattled frequently (better than a screech though)
- When the extruder moved back and forward its weight caused the motor coupling to compress allowing the extruder to drop and raise (changing the height of the tip above the bed)
How the new bracket and bearing fixes this:
- The skate bearin
