I wanted to get a carrying handle for my ICOM IC-718. I found that ICOM does sell a carrying handle, but I figured I would just print my own. I printed it in PLA, but will reprint it in ABS for strength and flexibility. I took a strip of the soft side of velcro and attached it to the back of the handle for comfort and strength. This velcro will not break even if the handle breaks. Also, the velcro is sticky on one side which secures it to the bottom of the handle and is quite nice feeling. I needed this security due to the cost of the radio.
The screws go through the handle, so there is no risk of the handle slipping out. The handle screws are M4-.70 x 10. You need two of them.
