i made this for a friend whose latch broke. they told me that the original "clicked" (only if you did it slowly) but never truly locked into place, meaning that you could just add a bit of rotation to overcome the latch.

this particular version solves that. in fact, if you rotate it quickly through the closed position it will positively LOCK. the release is crisp as well. no weird fickle issues. just the way it was originally designed to work.

this was my 5th iterative design.
