Update 2022-04-03: A little over four years later, the rest of the sofa is in worse condition than this leg by now. It has held up admirably.

Update 2018-12-25: Well it's been four months now and this leg is still holding up just fine. Thought I would add an update, as I completely forgot I had even printed a new leg for this sofa, it's held up that long. By now I expect it to outlive the sofa.

Our EKTORP sofa suffered a broken leg at the hands of a moving company. With PETG on hand though I was able to model and print a replacement far faster than a trip to IKEA or a second hand parts retailer. And also only cost filament.

I'd recommend printing at a fairly thick layer height. I used a 0.8mm nozzle to print .4mm layers on this part. I would not reduce the infill below 80% density on this part. Mine was printed solid and has held up fantastically to a number of sofa-flops. It may even be stronger than the much thinner profile legs the sofa comes with.
