I was dissapointed IKEA had no recessed LED panel. Therefore I bought the IKEA FLOALT panel of 30x30cm and made it recessed for my bathroom. They are recessed by hanging at a 12,5cm ceiling plate
I used per panel 3 fingers: 1x 1 hole, 1x 2 holes 8mm and 1x 2 holes 10mm. The dimension reflects the distance between the holes.
Pictures:
Step 1: remove the part above the panel.
Step 2: This is how it looks afterwards.
Step 3: Unscrew at three positions the in total 5 screws.
Step 4: Use as described the three different fingers.
Step 5: This is how one looks like before.
Step 6: This is how one looks like after thightning.
Step 7: This is how the total looks like.
Step 8: Place the panel on top of the ceiling by moving it diagonal in the ceiling.
Step 9: This is how one panel looks like.
Step 10: After removing all plastic is this how the bathroom ceiling looks at the end.
In case you want to edit the part, I have uploaded my SolidWorks files.
