Here is my version of an IKEA Lack enclosure for a 3-D printer. There are many out there, but this one is mine. I tried to make things as simple as possible, as few parts as possible and, what I thought, attractive hardware set.
All M4 hardware. Tap all holes needing tapping by hand, slow and back out chips.
The table is rated at 22 LBS, my extensions were designed to hold 20# each, so, don't sit on it, but you can do what you need to with this hardware set.
I decided to make a separate lower extension since you need to drill a pilot hole in the bottom of the legs. A little fudge room makes things line up nicely.
I made all attachments between the panel mounts and hinges non-handed. So, you can't really screw it up. The panels, when installed, stiffen this up and make it very secure.
If you like it, use it, if you don't, well, there are many other versions.
