Ikea Metod spice rack

Intro

I built myself an Ikea kitchen. Room height is 220cm so I had to go for the small upper cupboards. The Ikea Metod fume extractor of size 60x60 (Art# 995.053.17) has only 2 small sections to put spices and a 27cmx17.5cm sized space which is hardly of any use. So I was looking for an option to make use of this space.

I came across the pullout spice rack of spongybob1958 [here](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4356449). However it did not fit exactly. The racks were slightly too wide to fit 3 in the space and the height was not fitting perfectly. I could fit just two rails of course but decided to optimize the design for my purpose.

So I decided to adapt the width slightly to fit 3 rails exactly into the Ikea Metod spot. Also tested only with spice cans typically used here in Switzerland with a diameter of 4-4.5cm and hights of 10cm-12.5cm.
