IKEA Rigga Additional Rail Holder

This remix was designed to support the addition of a second hanging rail to the IKEA Rigga Clothes rack. The current dimensions of this thing means that the holders do not 'clamp' to the vertical support, and you will have to line the inside of the clamping surface with masking tape. Depending on the tolerance of your printer, I found that 5-6 pieces of masking tape on the clamping surface of the holders provided a snug fit and excellent level of friction onto the Rigga frame.

Using 2x M6 x 30 bolts (I only had 45mm bolts as shown in the picture and M6 wingnuts), position one set of holders onto the Rigga frame at your desired height and secure.

This design is sized for a 16mm OD metal curtain rod cut to 890 mm to be clamped in between two sets of holders. Cut the curtain rod to size and debur. Place the cut curtain rod into the holder, align with the holder on the other side, and secure using the wingnuts.
