IKEA Skadis Surface Go Mount

I wanted to reactivate an old Surface Go as a dedicated control screen for quick print jobs/Home Assistant and mount it directly next to my 3D printer on an IKEA SKÅDIS board. A key requirement was being able to keep using the original keyboard comfortably. This was a problem, because existing mounts block the Type Cover or don’t provide enough stability for real typing. Inspired by the work of J MODS , I designed my own solution: A wedge support at the bottom combined with a clamping holder at the top keeps the tablet securely in place while still allowing the keyboard to fold down and be used normally. The result is stable enough for everyday interaction and quick adjustments during printing.It’s not a perfect design — but it works very well for my setup and I’m happy with the result.
