Hey guys! Unfortunately, my IKEA Songesand bed arrived missing two threaded inserts in one part, so I couldn't assemble it. I didn't want to wait for support, so I quickly modeled the missing thread myself. Fun fact: IKEA actually gave me a decent discount because they didn't have to ship spare parts! ♥️ The Problem & Dimensions: The hole in the wood was approx. 10mm wide and ~14mm+ deep. The bolt required is an M8 thread. The Solution: This model has an outer diameter of 10.5mm and is 14mm high. I simply screwed the printed part onto the metal bolt first, and then hammered both into the hole together. Since the model is slightly wider than the hole, it sits extremely tight. ⚠️ Important Assembly Note: Be careful when hammering! Make sure to hit it straight. If you angle it too much, the bottom part of the print might snap. Print Settings: Material: PETG (Highly recommended). Avoid PLA: I wouldn't use PLA as it might deform under pressure over time. Printer: Printed on my Bambu Lab A1.
