This was an original design inspired by my experiences with the popular Impossible Table by Oak 600 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3970291). I was frustrated by the stability issues caused by that design only having a single interior point of connection between the two pieces of the table. I thought that I could fix the problem by having several internal points of contact. I had also been playing with printing inseparable interlocking objects as made possible by additive manufacturing.
The result was this object which I designed from scratch using Tinkercad. While it can be assembled as suggested by the configuration of the pieces in the STL file, I realised that I could slide the two pieces closer together and get something much more interesting. As the object is depicted in the photos, it is extremely stable and could be used as a functional wheel by inserting an axle through the middle. Such a wheel would be flexible and the fishing line could serve as a kind of suspens
