Although I have 4 other much fancier printers, I still love my Ender 2, which when tuned-up will print as nice a part as any of them and is still my “go to” printer for small PLA parts. However, there where a few things I didn't like, so I decided to design some parts to correct the problems. I had made a TF to SD conversion some time ago (Thingiverse 2883732), but I was still bothered by the difficult to read horizontal display. There are some other solutions out there, but I prefer to design parts that can be printed without rafts or supports, so I designed a two piece solution that meets that goal. I also incorporated the SD interface into the design and a cover for the OE micro SD slot which retains the adapter cable in the socket. I also added provisions to add a 4010 fan, but it is probably not necessary.
While I had the control module apart, I thought I would add some X and Y smoother boards. I used 8 diode, 30mm x 40mm units and designed a mount that is sandwiched bet
