I found that the LM8LUU bearings allowed quite a bit of twisting movement. I tried an experiment using two LM8UU bearings and stability of the carriage improved immensely.
Consequently, I have redesigned the bearing carriers to use four LM8UUs instead of two LM8LUUs. I have also redesigned the target cooling duct to have a single duct, the other arm now being used to mount a Tronxy square proximity sensor as close to the nozzle as possible (Offset is 38.5mm). The heatsink duct has also been redesigned to mount a 40mm fan instead of the stock 30mm. The target cooler also has a ring duct.
Another few small improvements are the nut traps to make assembly a lot easier than the original, a bracket on the front right bearing carrier to cable tie the cable bundle and I've hollowed out the bearing carriers to lighten them without compromising strength.
If you like, you can use the original bearing carriers at the front and have 2 X LM8UU at the back and 1 X LM8LUU at the front, as eve
