My SN04 autolevel sensor arrived, so I figured I'd hook it up. I bought a bare sensor so I didn't have Anet's mounting bracket.
I printed off both versions of pparsniak's sensor bracket. The version with mounting pillars fouled with my X belt retainers (I'm not using the stock ones) and I felt the version without the pillars couldn't be screwed securely enough to the printer without warping it. So I did my own take on their bracket design.
This design uses pins which stick into the holes on the back of the SC8UU bearing holders, and positively locate the bracket on the printer carriage. It also rests on the shoulders of the bearings instead of the top, which puts the bracket slightly closer to the nozzle and allows the plate to be made thicker and stiffer.
To secure the plate to the printer, I'm using two of the spare flat head M3x30 screws that came with the printer, they screw into tapped holes that are provided on the printer's X carriage. To attach the sensor, I'm using M3
