This is a simple splint to be used on your index finger. It stabilizes the lower joint of the finger. Size and orientation (left/right) can easily be changed in your slicer.

Print it with 100% infill and a big brim (no raft or support needed) in PLA. Once printed boil some water and heat the splint with it. With the soft PLA splint bring it in the exact form of your hand.

If done right this splint can be worn without any tape and stays in place even while asleep.
Credit goes to piuLAB ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:403001 ) for the hot water idea.
