This is a cost effective project to deaden the sound coming for inline fans and ducts. The alternative from AC Infinity cost 150$. This print works for a 6 inch duct but can be rescaled in a way to be used for a 4 inch duct or else. The center part is 8 inch wide allowing you to add 1inch thick soundproofing panels (or whatever foam) and keep the same CFM output on your system. This is the exact same principle as other more expensive ones made of aluminum. I noticed that the overhangs would look better with slower fan speeds as they are not so steep. Below is a picture of the foam I used (very cheap on amazon) and the setup I made. Some people used one on the intake and one on the exhaust and I gave it a try and it really impressed me.
