Many thanks to Gael Langevin, the creator of the InMoov 3D-printed robot (http://www.inmoov.fr).
There are multiple ways to realize 3d vision. Besides the kinect sensor, one could use the Orbbec Astra, which is much smaller, or binocular vision due to 2 cameras in the eyes. Anyway, there should be the possibility to replace the Kinect sensor on the lower chest of the InMoov robot.
The criteria's for this design are: 1. complete removement the kinect and any signs of it, 2. no changes to the torso, 3. same attachment as for the original parts, 4. big parts, easy to print, 5. as much space as possible below the shell.
To attach these parts to the torso, first remove the support at the backside of the left and right parts. Then, screw the left and right parts to the middle. Now the complete thing can be screwed to the torso.
Have fun!
