My new design for the modded Insta360 X5 VR180.
Print the mod (model may not be oriented correctly, use your slicer to orient it minimizing support). I personally used PLA, 0.6 nozzle.
Open the camera to take out the lenses
Buy and plug extension cables (LCD extension cables)
Close the camera letting the cables connectors out.
Put the lens support into the lens back part and add 3 M3 screws.
Screws the lenses on the lens support
Protect any sensible area with thermal foam to avoid any contact between lens sensors and the PLA.
Put the lens box on the lens back and close it using 4xM3 screws.
Build and fix a heatsink made with copper between the sensors board
Fix the lens back to the camera using 3xM3 screws.
Use a L vertical to horizontal adapter and a 1/4 screw to fix the mod to the camera bottom.
Enjoy.
