I came across a sweet little Mitutoyo indicator wall clock—but being an Interapid guy, I had to make my own version!
This model consists of a good few parts. I assembled everything with super glue and used short sections of 1/4" tubing as pins. For the lens and clock mechanism, I repurposed a cheap 6" wall clock. The clock itself just hangs on two small hooks, making it easy to remove for battery changes or daylight losing time adjustments.
The included STL files are scaled to actual indicator dimensions, but if you scale the whole model up by 4×, it will fit a 6" clock perfectly. With a bit of tweaking to the face backer, you could adapt it for a larger dial.
Adjust Screws A–D are all slightly different variations to give a more realistic appearance of adjustment. When I originally built this, I was limited to a single-filament printer, so I printed the face on paper and laminated it (see included Face.pdf). For those with multi-filament printers, I’ve also included a vector SVG fi
