My girlfriend needed a stopwatch for her darkroom photo development. She found an app for her ipad mini that supported multiple timers in one, with messages to remind her what step in the process she was at. Anyway, for it to be really usable she would need the ipad to be out of the way, preferabke hanging on the wall.
I made this design to solve that problem. I have to say, I'm really impressed how well the ipad fits in. I doubt that apple could have designed it any better :)
I also fitted the original chager plug in the bottom. I hava printed the design both in ABS and PLA. The plug is really easy to fit in the ABS version, due to ABS have this slightly grease feel. The plug fit in really tight, so I have not mount the plug car for the two I mounted in our house.
