Iris 3326-L Motion Sensor Wall Mount

Summary Wall mount for a Iris 3326-L Zigbee Motion Sensor. My goal is to use it to mount in the eave of my garage doors and mount with double sided tape on top and side. Dimensions of a 3326-L are 1" deep x 1.625" wide x 1.75" tall (approx). This box has an opening of 1.10236" (28mm) deep (not including lip) x 1.65" (42mm) wide x 1.77165" (44mm) tall. I'm not sure a piece of transparent film will work in the slot as it did on the original box. The channel appears to be semi-filled in the printouts I received. How I Designed This
