IS-3

History: In anticipation of more heavier German threats, the Soviets rolled out their IS-3, which saw very late entry, and only partook in the Berlin Victory Parade at the end of WWII. IS-3s were widely known for their upturned soup bowl turret and pike nose hull, revolutionary designs at the time. Their introduction stunned the West, fueling the start of the Cold War. Regardless, the heavy tank saw mixed results during the Middle Eastern conflict, leading the Soviets to drop their heavy tank designs gradually in favor of Main Battle Tanks.

Notes: 1/100 scale model updated from m_bergman now includes full details & tools (i.e. track treads, reshaped turret, complete tools, crew equipment, machine gun, etc.) for historical accuracy. Model is an IS-3M variant that saw service with the Egyptian army. Turret should fit nicely. But the fuel cans will get in the way of rotation. Got any printing trouble? Please let us know.
