Many years ago I got a Father's Day card with a drawing of a car and the caption "Isi cutie karrie". The caption was so cute it stuck with me all these years and whenever I see a cute car, it's the name that comes to mind.
A few weeks ago I was travelling in Scotland and saw a building designed by an architect who worked only with 90, 45 and 22.5 degree angles. I liked that and since 45 degrees is a safe number to print without supports, I thought I'd design my own cute car that can print without supports. And now it ended up as a range of cars from the same basic design and an anglicized name to IsACutieCar.
In my mother tongue (Afrikaans) the suffix -ie is used to describe the small version of something, much like the suffix -let in English (e.g. booklet, applet, piglet). So the cars are called Tjorrie (the sedan), Waentjie (the station wagon or estate), Sportie (the coupe), Bakkie (the pickup), Lorrie (the truck or lorry) and Trokkie (which looks like a shortened pick-up with
