ITX – simple PC case I’ve been seating on this for 3 years. I started designing it in September 2020. Due to a SSD drive mishap I lost the whole project and had to start all over again. I finished it in March 2021. I have REGISTERED it as INDUSTRIAL DESIGN in May 2021. I wanted to bring this case to the market, I found one local manufacturer (the only one who wanted to produce it), to make a prototype, and after to produce a small batch of it. So the prototype development started in July 2021. I had to make some small changes just to accommodate the manufacturing process, and the prototyping started in October 2021. Over the course of 2.5 years my manufacturer has tried and failed to make the case more times than I can count. Turns out that he is very much incompetent. First he had issues with bending those nice sexy curves. Not once has the prototype came out without some misalignment. Then, just recently I have learned that his CNC router is not precise at all. All cut pieces are not even straight, and almost all holes misalign. There are so, so many other thing that I don’t even want to mention that have caused me nothing but headaches, only because of my piece of shit manufacturer. So far I have pissed away so much time and energy into this project, and all I got is frustration. This was the hard way of learning the phrase: “If you want something done right – do it yourself”. That’s way I’m putting it into the world. Making it public. Maybe someone else wants to try it. It’s a very simple Mini-ITX PC case, which solves a lot of problems when building ITX systems. As seen from the pictures, the main components are located on the outside. That way you don’t have any limitations of the component size (GPU and CPU cooler). Open air case – means no hit to the performance of your components. As for the cable management – just stuff them inside, out of sight – out of mind. Don’t put your components in a closed box, show them off!
