The original model made by MegaAndy didn't quite work with my joycons but it was close. One of the shoulder bumpers wouldn't reach the button on the top so I increased the width of the bumper on one side for each joycon in separate models, as well as added a plus/minus symbol on the model to correspond with the respective joycon. Hope this can help anyone with who had a similar issue.
