This is an enclosure for a R/C joystick. I purchased the joystick board from Amazon. It was intended to be a Arduino shield but I removed the header connectors and will solder wires to connect to a Arduino Nano board. The Nano transmits the joystick X and Y positions and button pushes over bluetooth.
The enclosure clamshell was designed using OpenSCAD and can be customized. The bottom piece holds the Nano and bluetooth modules, a 9v battery and a power switch. The top piece has four tabs to secure the joystick board. The top and bottom pieces have a latch to hold them together. A small cutout allows inserting a screwdriver so it can be pried apart for service or replacing the battery.
