This piece is a redesign/copy of the Computech Jr Dragster Throttle Cable lock, available at https://computech.com/product/throttle-cable-lock/
This part was designed in response to the recent passing of seven year old Elienisse Diaz at Orlando Speed World in Florida.
One very commonly overlooked issue on our Jr Dragsters, is the carb end of the throttle cable. All too often, there is excessive play between the cable sheathing and the cable end adjuster. This free-play can cause the throttle cable sheathing to unseat from the adjuster and catch on the edge, sticking the carb half open or more. A skilled driver would know something is wrong, and would use the emergency stop to shut their car down. However a younger and inexperienced driver might panic, leading to a very unfortunate wreck.
This piece is affixed with two zip ties. Two files have been included for use with either the smaller 4" long .1" wide zip tie, or a higher tensile capacity .18" wide (or 4.5mm) zip tie. It is str
