Many newer model Juniper switches, such as the QFX5100 and EX4300, have little to no space for attaching any kind of label. These brackets are designed to attach to the threaded shaft that's in the middle of the rack mount brackets, providing a convenient place to attack a printed label.
On some models, the bracket can simply slide onto the shaft and friction fit. For others, the shaft is too small, and you may use a countersunk head M3.5 screw to secure it. The label will have to be removed to get at the screw, but it should work on a wider range of mounting brackets.
