This is an assembly puzzle described in Stewart Coffin's book _Geometric Puzzle Design_, and was originally intended to be made out of wood. 12 of the pentagonal assemblies go together into the finished object.
It's not tricky to assemble or disassemble - trick is to build two mirror-image halves, which will go together with a small amount of manipulation.
OpenSCAD files have exactly calculated dimensions, but there's approx 3mm added to the length of the sticks, to that the two pair correctly. I haven't worked out whether this fudge distance works at other scales.
